Our relationships are multi-colored, textural tapestries woven through shared experience.
Imagine a fabric of threads, richly interwoven, strand overlaying colorful strand, the fibers adding texture and depth to a beautiful tapestry. Our lives blend with others, tapestry-like; people appear when we need help, threading their lives with ours then moving on.
Our projects grow larger than we expected, our commitments grow more demanding. The first days are exciting, fruitful possibilities. Outlines and directions emerge, vague early patterns on the loom. The most outrageous ideas arrive the least fully figured.
We need guides, teachers, coaches, collaborators, friends. As they arrive, the tapestry takes form, collaboratively woven by many hands. Each person graciously joins a special color and texture to the cloth. Without others we are lost; our lives can’t find a pattern without help.
