Silent Messages Previous Story
Signs and signals are the common language of our spirits.
This place feels familiar—yes, we’ve been here before. Déjà vu! How often have we wandered momentarily into some quickly shifting remembrance, disturbed by unrecoverable, vague questions? Unsettled and haunted, we release those drifting, random thoughts nearly as soon as they arrive.

Still, the silent messages float unresolved in us, asking to be addressed. What if we acknowledge them? Instead of ignoring their mysterious messages, we can hold them, protect them, discuss and nurture them, as important pieces of our daily awareness. What if we not only honor but watch and quietly wait for them each day? What if we create times and places where those vaguely familiar bits would be welcome, invited into our often judgmental and hard-edged world? What would the messages mean, if we tracked them to their source like footprints in the sand? Perhaps the insights they yield would no longer be confusing and disturbing, but would materialize important clues leading us to deeper truths, and a more soulful understanding of who we are and where we are going. With openness and curiosity, we could remain in the question. We could even become more comfortable in not knowing, with intuition to guide us like a vigilant and silent partner.
