Feeding Body and Soul

Cascading to Florence

There’s a wonderful little Italian restaurant in Fiesole Italy on a promentory overlooking the magical city of Firenze (Florence). Just thinking about it, we’re flooded with an incredibly rich trove of memories: beautiful Piazza Mino; delicious authentic Tuscan cuisine; positive energy powerful enough to heal both body and soul; historic Monte Ceceri peering down over the town from the mountain crest above; countless generations of ancient Etruscan and Roman settlers 6who balanced that quaint little town on top of the mountain ridge . . . and so much more.

Tiny table

The following song was written as a tribute to the tiny restaurant called Vinandro, surrounded by historic relics from centuries of people who literally changed the world. Hopefully this simple musical story can jump-start an emotional connection that will encourage you to visit for your first time, or return for many more.

Music—Feeding Body and Soul

Lyrics

There is a place I know
Where the wine and the stories flow
Only paces away
Where we somehow step into yesterday

Borrowed from long ago
Steeped in details only they would know
Stirred into bowls of memories
Times gone by and yet, here with me

Oh, feeding body and soul
Oh, healing body and soul

Alessandro arrives, as before
20 years ago he opened the door
With a taste of Tuscany
And a dream to share

Duccio orchestrates the opposite days
Leads the others in his good natured way
With a taste of Tuscany
And a dream to share

With the magic of Tuscany
Quite a dream to share
A dream to share

Simple tales, woven into lore
Daily life becomes something more
Gather around to have a meal
Grateful for their dream, they made it real

Oh, feeding body and soul
Oh, healing body and soul
Oh, body and soul
