At the outer edge of the islands in the midst of an endless blue sea we relaxed. Full sun streamed through the day, but not enough wind to sail. As dusk approached, dark clouds began forming in the distance, between us and our evening’s safe harbor. Suddenly gusts of wind began, bringing a smattering of rain. Before we could prepare ourselves, we were in the middle of a full-blown violent seastorm—the boat heaving and twisting on the rising waves.
