The UP Side Lowdown Stories by Cheryl are humorous and heart-warming memory pieces written. over a 10 year period. These stories are designated with a notepad icon next to the title for easy identification as her individual writing.

Cheryl started her blog with the intention of giving her own personal view of life in Tuscany—insider commentary on every day events. It turned out to be quite entertaining for us as a way of documenting our ongoing adventure. Some 20 years later, we decided to combine our efforts into the new site which was where all of our stories would eventually reside—called “Uncommon Promise,” or “UP” for short—where you are today.

The original blog is still available as part of our history together and continues to be identified as “The UP Side Lowdown.” You will also find the posts linked to other related pieces throughout our UP Site—tucked in and around our other stories.

We hope you enjoy reading along as much as we enjoyed living it, and Cheryl enjoyed writing about it.
