UTT – Virtual CD ☀️

Physical CDs

We decided to allow a “window of space” for 3 months. In that time, we vowed not do anything  related to the past 10 years, especially writing and recording music–a clean break. It was a rich and satisfying time, as we closed down the past era gracefully and with dignity. At the end of the 3 months we decided to follow a sacred trail for new inspiration—we chose the Cammino di San Francesco, the walk of Saint Francis, south of Assisi in the province of Umbria. Following the 50-mile trek, we waited quietly and patiently.

June 28th we broke our silence. Em picked up his guitar and spontaneously played a song, Morning Glory. Soon after, Cheryl wrote lyrics and the first song of the new era was born. The sound was different—simpler and more organic than before. We decided not to create any more CDs, but rather, simply record the songs and then place them on our blog with a story. No drawing, no formal process, and most importantly, no physical CD. It was to be “of-the-moment” and virtual.

The Virtual Stuff

Ready to post our second song, Turn Around, we began wondering what a “virtual CD” would actually look like. After some conversation, we came up with this format. So, here goes! Searching for “Music” on this site will take listeners to an evolving page called “Just Music.” We will add songs as they are finished. That page will become our new and ever-changing virtual CD. You can go there now to check it out by following this link:

Just Music” Virtual CD

Through this process we have discovered that it is virtually impossible not to make sweet music together.
