Heartland
This harvest for our sons and daughters means the world to us.

Story

Heartland
Our heritage is harvested with persistence and patience.
A sudden, late storm in the Midwest harvest changes everything—an entire hard season of planting may be lost. Plans that were firm now yield to uncertainty. Each separate person steps through an emergency plan—saving the crop fills each thought and action.

America’s core is its future and backbone. Where work is strong, values matter; where people feed themselves, they must be able to rely on themselves. A ripple in the heartland spreads outward; when farmland is in peril, the effects are felt everywhere.

Heartland
Now we wait in the heartland

The heartland in us collects our values, the aspirations that endure and delineate us, that hold and nurture our best. Others feel our values because we are connected.

When setbacks come, we guard our ideals. They define us, and they are our finest gift we will leave behind.

The harvest will come—though it may be late, or meager. Through the unexpected storm, the core holds. Early sowing still promises a rich yield. Setbacks merely strengthen our resolve.
